A GIRL AND A GUN NJ CHAPTER HOSTS CNJFO's ROSENTHAL! HISTORY, EXEMPTIONS, AND EVIL SNOWMEN ENGAGED!

New Jersey's only A Girl And A Gun Womens Shooting League chapter facilitator, Ronnie Siegel, invited Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners Vice President David "Rosey" Rosenthal, who gave a presentation at last night's meeting held at RTSP Range in Union, NJ. Rosey covered the historical nature of NJ gun law that gives more firearms transportation rights to wealthy land owners, as interpreted via a list of "exceptions & exemptions" to the NJ law that states ALL firearms are inherently ILLEGAL! Having multiple business locations and/or residences inside NJ's 21 counties translates to more exempted activities (transportation) and thereby lets the upper class exercise more gun rights.

"Possession, use and transportation of firearms for legal purposes are "carve-outs", otherwise known as EXEMPTIONS and EXCEPTIONS to the law that says they're all illegal, and memorizing those will empower gun owners in NJ to avail themselves of ALL their gun rights!" ---Dave Rosenthal, CNJFO VP

Rosenthal was then invited to help R-O during the live-fire port meet-up that immediately followed the brief lecture and Q&A. Over a dozen women spanning in age from teens to 70's had a real fun time with the drills that Siegel teaches using her art skills. The warm-up drill, shot at 5 yards, was multiple "holiday tree ornaments" painted onto brown paper, employing the "Aim Small, Miss Small" principle. Shooters were paired into teams, and each shooter had color-coded targets to engage.

"Experience levels varied--they always do at shoots like these--and those utilizing correct breathing & trigger squeezing techniques saw their accuracy climb and groups tighten. 9mm building blocks: building a firm foundation from which to explore new challenges! Ronnie teaches em' RIGHT! John, Jill and the other volunteer R-O's do a great job!"--Dave Rosenthal, CNJFO VP

Once warm-up was completed, Siegel then instructed the women to engage the hand-painted "evil snowman" in each port as if their lives depended upon the outcome. Center-mass, headshots, strong-hand only and weak-hand only shooting techniques were taught to the ladies, with emphasis on correct dynamic posture (leaning into the shot sequence) to ensure smooth function, recoil management, accurate hits and no "stove-pipe" jams from "limp-wristing".

Rosenthal got some trigger time too when Siegel "gave him a ride" on her CZ pistol as the ladies watched the old action shooter poke holes where they count in strong and weak-hand only.

After-Action Quotable Quotes:

"Thank you Ronnie. I never would have thought that I'd be so confident with a firearm! I appreciate everything you and John do for us. Rosey was such a help to me, and so patient! I loved shooting that killer snowman, and was way more efficient with my weak hand than I'd ever dreamed I'd be!"---AGAAG member

"Thank you for teaching us this one handed shooting. I had never really thought about it. And I was worried about doing it. I feel so much better about myself since joining this group."---AGAAG member

Siegel has over 40 ladies in her Central NJ chapter, and they rotate ranges to make it easy for all to attend. To learn more, please visit:
