FIRING BLANKS ATTRACTS INTEREST AT CNJFO BOOTH!
2A COMMUNITY OUTREACH AT ABSECON SPORT SHOW!

The deluge on Saturday at the first-ever Absecon, NJ Outdoor Sportsman Show didn't stop folks from standing in line at our booth to fire a blank charge of FREEDOM-making black powder! This inaugural event, chaired by CNJFO member Sandy Hickerson, provided the perfect setting to discuss 2nd Amendment issues & current events with the public. It was the Coalition's first community outreach project in South Jersey. CNJFO Treasurer Jack Pyle answered lots of questions on the state of the 2nd Amendment in NJ, handed out brochures & business cards, sold swag, memberships & apparel, and tickets for the Muzzleloading Experience. CNJFO used a 10' x 10' pop-up so everything would stay dry at this rain or shine event.

NRA Double Distinguished Expert Muzzleloader (the Country's first) and Coalition VP Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal mentored the public on survival and how important the 2nd Amendment was during the 1830's using his 10 gauge side-by-side double-barrel percussion shotgun. Participants ranged in age from 5 to 75, with each using a powder measure to pour 50 grains of black powder into Rosenthal's scattergun. Using a custom range rod, Rosenthal then had our eager shooters apply a wad to pack the black powder charge so it burns more efficiently. After donning eye & ear protection, shooters were instructed how to hold & operate the shotgun correctly. The gun fired with every trigger pull, over 100 times, without a misfire, even in pouring rain! Ear-to-ear smiles are fun to watch, and the muzzleloading experience, a first for CNJFO (but not Rosenthal) did not disappoint! Absecon Mayor Kim Horton opened-up our booth with the ceremonial first black powder blank (see video in yesterday's story)!

CNJFO is growing, as is firearms ownership in NJ. Women and youth are the two largest expanding demographics, and most yearn for help with the overbearing firearms rules. That's where our readers, friends, sponsors and members can help. Please consider joining our Community Outreach Committee so we can attend more events and spread the message of firearms rights being a primary civil right! We'll supply the materials, train you so you're comfortable speaking to small groups, and assist you in finding venues to set-up at. Volunteers are the lifeblood of any grass roots organization, and CNJFO is GROWING. We NEED YOUR HELP to fulfill our mission! Message us here or on our website: www.cnjfo.com .

Readers please remember that NJ residency isn't required to be a member and we're a 501 (c)3 tax-exempt non-profit, so any US tax payer can receive a deduction for their support! Remember, what happens in Jersey DOESN'T STAY IN JERSEY, so please help us to put a stop to it HERE before it spreads! Thanks from all of us!
