NJ Assemblywoman Dawn Fantasia
Dawn Fantasia was sworn in to her second term in the New Jersey General Assembly in January 2026 after earning re-election to represent the 24th Legislative District, which includes all of Sussex County and portions of Morris and Warren Counties. She serves on four Assembly Committees: Education; Agriculture and Natural Resources; Aging and Human Services; and Community Development and Women’s Affairs. She also serves on the New Jersey Legislature’s Joint Committee on the Public Schools.
As a freshman legislator, she prime-sponsored three new laws securing funding for farmland preservation, forest conservation, and dam restoration. She serves as the Republican Assembly Co-Chair of the New Jersey Angling, Hunting, and Conservation Caucus and is a member of the New Jersey Legislative Manufacturing Caucus, the New Jersey Legislative Disability Caucus, and the American Irish State Legislators Caucus.
For her legislative activities, she has been honored with the New Jersey Family Policy Center 2024 A Time to Stand Legislative Award “for Helping to Build Influence for New Jersey Families;” the 2025 New Jersey State Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs Outstanding Legislator of the Year Award “for Outstanding Contributions to all Sportsmen and Women;” was recognized by the Today's Choice Women's Center for her advocacy in the legislature to protect pregnancy resource centers from political attacks; and as an Authentic Leadership for America PAC’s 2025 Authentic Leadership Honoree. She was also honored by CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) for their 2025 Conservative Excellence and their 2024 Conservative Achievement in recognition of her conservative voting record.
A graduate of Wallkill Valley Regional High School in Hamburg, Dawn earned her undergraduate degree from Davis & Elkins College in 1995 and later received a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Capella University in 2014 through a scholarship for working mothers.
For the past 20 years, Dawn has worked in traditional public and public charter education as a teacher, charter school principal, and district administrator. She currently serves as Director of Assessment and Academic Enrichment Programs in English and mathematics at Bergen Arts and Science Charter School in Garfield, where she was named Teacher of the Year in 2010.
Dawn previously served on the Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders (now County Commissioners) from 2018 through 2023 and was elected Director in 2021. Prior to that, she served three years on the Franklin Borough Council, where she was selected by her colleagues to serve as Council President in 2018. She also served on the borough’s Planning Board, Zoning Board, and Economic Development Committee. Her volunteer work has focused on improving the lives of senior citizens and veterans, and she currently serves as an elected member of the Sussex County Republican Committee.
Dawn resides in Franklin Borough, where she raised three children as a single parent. In her spare time, she enjoys hunting, fishing, target shooting, and farming activities.
NRA Board of Directors Amanda Suffecool
Amanda Suffecool is a prominent Second Amendment advocate, firearms educator, and media personality whose multifaceted career has significantly impacted gun rights advocacy. With a background in engineering, she transitioned into firearms instruction, becoming an NRA-certified trainer in multiple disciplines, including pistol, rifle, and shotgun. Her expertise also encompasses active shooter response and safety, holding certifications from FEMA, OSHA, and ALICE programs.
Suffecool co-founded and co-hosts "Eye on the Target Radio," a nationally syndicated show that discusses firearms education and Second Amendment issues. She is the only nationally syndicated female second amendment radio host in the nation. Her innovative approach to advocacy includes organizing Concealed Carry Fashion Shows, blending firearm safety education with fashion to promote concealed carry awareness.
As National Advisor for Women for Gun Rights, formerly known as DC Project, she leads efforts to engage women in gun rights advocacy. She is on the Board of Directors for the not for profit arm of A Girl and A Gun - the A Girl and A Gun Legacy Foundation. Additionally, she directs the REALIZE Firearms Awareness Coalition, a nonprofit dedicated to educating citizens about the historical and constitutional aspects of the Second Amendment. Amanda is also active in local politics as the Portage County Chairman of the county republican party, amember of the elected Republican representation as a State Central Committee member within Ohio and is a board member of the Portage County Board of Elections.
Elected to the NRA Board of Directors in 2023, Suffecool continues to influence national gun rights policies. Her commitment to education, media outreach, and innovative advocacy strategies underscores her role as a leading figure in the Second Amendment community.
