SURE AS HELL AIN'T JERSEY---BUT IT USED TO BE! STRAW PURCHASE EXEMPTION FOR FAMILY NEEDED!

by Black Wire Media Sunday Dec. 22, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Did Santa Claus ever leave a firearm under your family's Christmas Tree when you were growin'-up? He did at our house lots of times. Once all the presents were divvied-up, you always opened the longest & heaviest box first, hoping beyond hope that your .22 Keystone Cricket (for smaller Gunslingers) or lever-action Henry was inside! No crime was committed, no one got arrested for an illegal "STRAW" purchase (can't state at the gun counter you're buying the firearm for another person---if you do the salesperson, by LAW is supposed to VOID THE SALE) OR an illegal transfer! Gifting is ALLOWED but it's also discouraged... Since the kids were off from school, the day after Christmas you took the entire family to the Range & pumped LEAD back into the ground from whence it came! We called it "recycling the olde-fashion way", lol! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nowadays we suffer our Family traditions being OUTLAWED so do-gooders & politicians can say they're "keeping guns off the streets"! To hell with the streets, the LAWS are keeping firearms out of the hands of today's youth! It's just too hard these days to buy a firearm as a surprise GIFT for Christmas! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Most retailers will tell you to buy a gift card instead & then visit the store later. Who the hell wants to stand in line on December 26th waiting to GET the firearm & mess with all of that tedious paperwork when so many folks are doing returns or using their gift cards? NOT ME that's for sure! A waste of good daylight when lead should be already pumpin' into the ground! A sinister plot it is! It's time for NJ gun owners to stop taking the BS & start fighting back instead! How? Download the files for 2A Sanctuary Status & get them brought into the light of day on a town & county basis! CNJFO posted the links in a previous article! After-all, how many Gang-Bangers submit finger prints, references, photo ID's, mental health check forms, drivers' licenses and federal & state mandatory paperwork IN ADVANCE of going to the Gun Store and then submit to a state & federal NICS Check at point-of-sale? Here Homie, have this new, registered (to ME) firearm for Christmas said NO ONE EVER! "WHAT MAKES GUNS SO SPECIAL? WE VOTE ON THINGS WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ALL THE TIME!"---NJ State Senator Loretta Weinberg ---The Editor P.S.: MERRY CHRISTMAS & BUY FIREARMS MONDAY!

CHEESEMAN CASE REMAINS ON-HOLD AT SCOTUS!
DOCKET 19-27 HAS SURVIVED 2 MORE ORDER LISTS!

by Black Wire Media Friday Dec. 20, 2019 www.cnjfo.com

As DC politics continuously DISTRACT the general population, Patriots Mark Cheeseman, William Hayden and a multitude of others from all over New Jersey are working hard at distributing Second Amendment Resolution samples that can be emailed, snail mailed or hand delivered to municipal and county governing bodies. Every adoption is a WIN for us, and the media can't ignore them! Sussex County

Patriot Bill Hayden said it best:

"Every morning when I fire up the ford..I pray to the baby Jesus on the dash board for two things, me to hit the lottery, and you to win..."

2A SANCTUARY RESOLUTIONS GAIN STEAM IN NJ!
    CHEESEMAN ENCOURAGING PATRIOTS TO ACT!

by Black Wire Media Wed. Dec. 18, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Mark Cheeseman, the outspoken NJ Patriot who's firearms carry case is on hold at the United States Supreme Court, did announce his intention to seek resolutions in the town & county he resides. Together with Rick Chow and others, Cheeseman published a notice contained herein:

" You all know there many counties within our state that are leading the 2A sanctuary front. This not political by any means. This has to do with every citizens right to their Constitutional rights as American citizens. Period! There is no debate. The way to make this successful is by supporting every county that has initiated this resolution by sharing, liking, following the pages, and by sending the resolutions to your town governments. We must do this as a whole. Unlike rallies which are effective, most make excuses not to go or cannot for various reasons. There is no excuse for not participating by simply printing out a resolution that only needs to be mailed. Should petitions need to be signed well, fine, we will do that to. This is the least we can do as a collective besides bitching on FB. Remember the power is in WE THE PEOPLE ! Share the page links to all of your friends no matter where they are in the country!"

We encourage all our NJ readers to follow Cheeseman's lead and send a resolution proposal to your town and county politicians as THEY WORK FOR WE THE PEOPLE!

OUR FREEDOM's 2A SPARK HAS BEEN IGNITED IN VA!
BATTLE LINES FORMING! NATION AT CROSSROADS!

by Nick Chiarchiaro for Black Wire Media Tues. 12-17-19 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

In the dark winter days post Pearl Harbor, post the vicious Battle of Britain - whereby the Axis powers occupied vast tracts of land, most of western Europe was under Nazi control. Japan was seeking and expanding its power base in the pacific theatre of operations. We as a nation were reeling from the devastating blow that the Japanese Naval forces rendered against our home ported pacific fleet of our ships of the line battleships, cruisers and destroyers etc.

The month of January 1941 was upon us as a nation still coming to terms with its entry into World War II. We were afraid, we were concerned, were looked-to for leadership – and for this leadership we embraced one of the most beloved Presidents of the United States, even though he was a Democrat – he came to us at a cross roads in history – history tends to find men and women to lead in times of dire potential consequences, to share their voices and deeds to shape history. In this dire month and year of January 1941, FDR made the case for the causes to prosecute the war and what he saw as a post war world based on the United States expansion of what we considered the basic human freedoms of - Freedom of Speech – Freedom of Religion – Freedom from Want – Freedom from Fear, the four basic human freedoms that he hoped would shape the world in a post war time.

As I look now to the events happening in this nation, we are once again at a crossroads, this nation has had many of them, and we of course, as a tempestuous child will have many more. However, our animating contest for freedom continues – the battles for the hearts and minds of the citizenry by politicians jockeying for power and prestige – the intelligentsia telling the other guy/gal how they should live their life, instead of living and let live. There are those that yearn to exert control over others just based on their perceived desires of power and thoughts that they somehow hold the high ground of moral and obligatory thought – that men and women who are independent freedom minded and driven individuals, should somehow just drop the continued contest for freedom and have chains of control, set lightly upon their wrists – to serve the state and its ever present need to control every aspect of our lives.

The battle lines of thought have been and are being drawn on a daily basis in many differing places, the office water cooler, the family gathering, social media and other quiet and not so quiet legislative halls of government.

As gun owners, if we are engaged, we see a component of this battle for the very hearts and minds of the citizenry based on the onerous laws that are attempting to be passed by legislatures that feel they are the intelligentsia, that they know what is best for “Jane & Joe Citizen”. But opposite of this we see the spark of freedom ever present in people of this nation, people of many races, color and national origins – people who are part of the very fabric of American society – that animating yearning and contest for freedom.

Over the past many months, we have seen a movement begin and gain traction, by locally represented towns and counties – that are saying enough is enough with the oppression and onerous laws being forced upon the law-abiding citizenry by less than intelligent state level legislatures. The Second Amendment Sanctuary movement has BEEN BORN! We must NURTURE it!

As I look at this movement, I see the great State of the Commonwealth of Virginia facing a dire time as its left leaning house and governorship attempt to enact laws and stack the deck in their favor, with laws that do nothing to really curb crime – but fully impact in a very onerous and unconstitutional way the law abiding. However, the local towns and counties will not have it and are fully embracing the Second Amendment Sanctuary movement.

I liken this to our dark days of January 1941, being under siege, being afraid, being concerned – looking for leadership – looking for voices – looking for the man/woman willing to stand up. Thinking on that – I am buoyed by the image created by Norman Rockwell to support the Four Freedoms speech. It is of the man standing among others, standing up and very proud - about to exhibit his very basic freedom, his freedom of speech without fear of repercussion. He is but one man voicing his opinion, he has a date with destiny – no matter how small the contribution may be – history has found him and by the very nature of our basic human freedoms and enumerated & espoused in our Constitution and Republic, he – she - WE can make history.

We are now beset by the great undertaking, to support our brothers and sisters in Virginia and other towns and counties across this nation, by taking up the banner of a Second Amendment Sanctuary movement in our very state of NJ. Be not afraid to speak up, be not afraid to speak out, be not afraid to make you voices heard – make history! (Come out of that damn Gun Closet NJ gun owners!--Ed.)

Join the movement of people that believe, that the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. That the defense of home, hearth, family, state and country are some of the very basic human rights and freedoms, that FDR spoke about. This is the fifth freedom, that has made this nation what it is today – the Second Amendment – I would submit that the other four freedoms in Rockwell's famous paintings cannot and would not be maintained if not for the right of the people to keep and bear arms!

Stand up – make your voices heard – locally in your town, locally in your county and let others know how you stand – join by making your voice hear – sign the petition online ( http://chng.it/K4jsMdBRP4) - make your town – make your county a Second Amendment Sanctuary – let not one of your four freedoms be wasted by inaction.

    EDITOR's NOTE:

Nick Chiarchiaro is our resident Historian on staff. As such he can draw parallels from current news stories to events that shaped this nation. Norman Rockwell's famous "Four Freedoms" from World War Two is another excellent example! Never one to sit on his laurels, Chiarchiaro started the Change.Org Petition (linked above) and has already approached his local Town Council urging them to produce a Resolution declaring his Town a 2A Sanctuary. We urge our readers to do the same. We are at the Crossroads once again. Do not mock our NJ Patriots. The spark is LIT! The reckoning is coming: Ballot Box OR Ammo Box? YOU get to decide!

BREAKING! CHEESEMAN & FACTOR SET SIGHTS ON P2P's!
HAND GUN PURCHASE PERMIT A SCHEME TO BUY CARS!

by Black Wire Media Monday Dec. 16, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Seems one SCOTUS case isn't enough for New Jersey's dynamic duo of Mark Cheeseman & Jay Factor. So tonight, after hinting on GunForHire Radio just yesterday, they're presenting their next target in the pro-gun fight for New Jersey gun owners: The "PERMIT TO PURCHASE A HANDGUN & FORM OF REGISTER"! A scheme that has withstood decades of red tape, is now an "undue burden". Originally put into place to stop mail-order handguns from the Sears catalog & others, the federal Gun Control Act of 1968 solved the problems the permit to purchase (P2P) was initially intended to accomplish.

CNJFO PROMOTES 2A AT OLD BRIDGE PPC LEAGUE!
    HOLIDAY PARTYGOERS JOINED AT "EAT-N-SHOOT"!

by Black Wire Media Saturday Dec. 14, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

So how many Holiday Parties have you attended where almost everyone in the room wears their holstered sidearm as they schmere condiments on sandwiches? Last night CNJFO was invited to sponsor Old Bridge Rifle & Pistol Club's PPC (Police Practical Competition) league Holiday Party at what is best described as an "Eat-N-Shoot". Part social event & part hand gun league competition open to ALL, the annual party is held in the club's indoor range & meeting room in Old Bridge. You don't need to be a LEO to shoot the league (none of them are), which has been run at Old Bridge R&P for decades.

CNJFO Vice President Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal is league Match Director, and together with league Co-Chair Peter Luccarelli, have reestablished this hand gun discipline that requires accurate timed fire of 60 rounds on B-27 & B-34 silhouettes in a series of 5 stages starting at 7 yards. Since all hand guns that fall into USPSA's divisions are allowed, competitors can choose from .22 rimfire & semi-auto center fire to wheelies (revolvers), with or without a dot sight.

The 60 round COF relays (several every match) take place monthly on the 2nd Friday at the club's indoor range, are a great "refresher", involve limited movement, teach proper hand gun manipulation & holster draw, use of cover while engaging, weak hand & strong hand only tactics, and multiple positions. Membership in the club isn't required to shoot the league, and non-members simply pay the non-member rate of $20 to shoot the match.

Competitors usually bring enough ammo to shoot at least 2 relays each (120 rounds). Then Luccarelli holds a special "side match" afterwards. Last night league members engaged a B-27 full size silhouette in HALF the standard allotted time.

Thankful league members supported the Coalition by purchasing 5 memberships, multiple hats w/ logo patch, and a hoodie. A happy, festive & SAFE time was had by all! Thanks to everyone at OBR&PC PPC league for all your support and WELCOME NEW MEMBERS!

ARE YOU STILL A "FELON IN-WAITING" GUN PEASANT?
1 YR ANNIVERSARY OF NJ's STD. CAPACITY MAG BAN!

by Black Wire Media Tues. Dec. 10, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Look around you Gun Peasants; don't you feel safer a year after NJ Gov. Murphy's yet-to-be-declared-unconstitutional MAG BAN went into full force & effect? He signed it into law in June of 2018 as the Anti's danced in the blood of victims of psychopaths, and we all had 6 glorious months to rid ourselves of these instant "anal suppositories"! They either had to be sold out of state, destroyed, permanently pinned to a mere 10 rounds, OR turned-in to law enforcement (NONE were turned-in)! After-all, everyone knows "you don't need 15 rounds to kill a deer", and so the 10 round magazine became the law of the land on this date a year ago!

If you still have them or have a friend or relative that does, congratulations you're a "Felon-in-waiting". What's that you ask? A simple house fire, smoke condition, first aid call, etc. can bring SCRUTINY of EXTREME PROPORTION upon you should your mags be left in plain view... So how many widows or widowers in NJ have ammo cans their deceased spouse stored in a closet or basement stuffed with what's now considered CONTRABAND? Who knows? Will any of NJ's 21 County Prosecutors actually PERSECUTE a surviving spouse over mags that carry a MANDATORY FINE & 18 MONTHS IMPRISONMENT PER MAG? Who knows?

Want to learn more about NJ's strict gun laws that KILL & MAIM the innocent? Please visit www.JustifiableNeed.com . Still think you don't need to belong to or renew with us? Guess what? YOU might be part of the problem! Fix it HERE: www.cnjfo.com/join-us and SHARE THIS TO FELLOW PEASANTS!

SCOTUS PONDERS NYC's 5 YEAR TANTRUM IN CASE!
IT's TIME FOR THE PARENTS TO LAY DOWN THE LAW!

by John Petrolino for Black Wire Media Sat.12-7-19 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

This past Monday something historic happened, regardless of the outcome of the case. The Supreme Court of the United States, for the first time in nearly a decade heard a case concerning the Second Amendment. Why this is such a big deal has both gun rights activists and anti-gun zealots both reeling. The case is New York State Rifle and Pistol Club Vs The City of New York. The prayer for relief revolves around a former NYC law that did not allow residents of the boroughs to transport their firearm out of the city limits.

The fact that this case exists only exposes the ridiculous measures that some jurisdictions will take to make gun ownership as difficult as possible. Using a reasonable man test, let me ask the proverbial you, Do you see an issue with a person taking their pistol, that they legally own, locked in a case, in the trunk of their car, to another town to use at shooting range? Is it reasonable to say that is an okay practice?

"This law was so blatantly absurd and unconstitutional on its face that I think non-gun enthusiasts would agree. Replace “pistol” with the word “bible” or “notebook.” Any other enumerated right does not get treated this way. The argument that other rights cannot lead to the death of persons clearly does not know what kind of a compelling public speaker Hitler was. To not split hairs on the subject, let us all agree that a law abiding gun owner, that travels with their firearm in a locked container, in the trunk of their car, is not a hazard to public safety. And, the City of New York ends up conceding this during Monday’s arguments"---John Petrolino

What is unique about this case is the city’s call for mootness. To give some background information, this lawsuit has been around for about five years. In those five years, the City of New York has vehemently defended their stance on the transport of handguns out of the city being a public safety hazard (because less guns in NYC means less safe?). Fast forward to 2019, the State of New York passed a law to nullify New York City’s law, but only after the Supreme Court agreed to hear this case. New York’s position, both the state and City, is that since the law is no longer in effect, it is moot, and there is no longer a prayer for relief. The City added onerous requirements when transporting a firearm to the new set of laws allowing transport. Paraphrasing they said, “yes, you can now take your pistol out of the city to a narrow list of places, but you need to do so directly, without stopping.” (Can't change a flat, pick up a passenger or go to the restroom! Sound familiar NJ gun owners?--Ed)

This matter of the State slapping down the City’s law is akin to an older sibling keeping order in a household because if the parents step in, it would be “bad” for everyone…This is what the anti-gunners are afraid of. Justice Ginsburg points out during the early part of arguments:

"Mr. Clement, the city has now been blocked by a state law, and the state has not been party to these proceedings. The state says: City, thou shalt not enforce the regulations. So what's left of this case? The Petitioners have gotten all the relief that they sought."

What happens when the older sibling keeps order? For starters, the parents do not “know” what is going on and with that, any corrective action taken may not be the proper one. Any potential lessons will not be taught. Why we do not play ball in the house has different ideologies to parents vs children. To an older sibling, one does not play ball in the house as to not get in trouble with the parents. To the parents, the children shall not play ball in the house, so they do not break things that cost hard-earned money or have extreme sentimentality. There is a lesson there. The WHY is important. New York State saying “thou shalt not enforce the regulations” to the City completely removes a question in the prayer for relief, was/is this practice constitutional? To muddy the waters, yes, there is a new law involved, and by following the appropriate channels, there would be new lawsuits on the constitutionality of it.

The elephant in the room is the fact that New York and the like did not want this case to be heard at all by the Supreme Court and tried to moot it. Why would they defend it for five years and then have a change of heart? Does this change of heart mean New York City and the rest of the country should not have to bear the burden of the lessons from the parents? No. This is all the more reason why the court should HAVE to deliver an opinion, because these practices do exist in the United States. Granted, the number of jurisdictions that have laws like this are not many (they are growing in numbers mind you), but the penalties involved for minor infraction are usually felonies (see New Jersey’s The Graves Act). The Supreme Court is intelligent enough to see through the City’s tactics, which is why the case was not mooted earlier in the process. This should be a wakeup call to jurisdictions unfriendly to the Second Amendment.

There indeed was a tone set, with Roberts right in the middle. In several instances, Justices that seem unsympathetic to the plight refer to the act of transporting the firearms as carrying them. It is important to note this word use. Yes, you are technically carrying your firearm when you transport it. The layman’s way of viewing, and statutory in many instances, of carrying, is on one’s person either concealed or open, a whole other matter (in public, any time). While these are simply word games, they do have meaning. What also has meaning is a rather disturbing question from Justice Sotomayor. Through the course of the arguments, the question on if the city would prosecute the claimants for any infractions of the old law, meaning their admission to breaking the former transportation ban, Sotomayor asks:

"I'm not going to, because I want to be careful for you and for society, you're not representing if they shot somebody with a gun that you're not going to prosecute them for that?"

Is Sotomayor so glib or think that the rest of us are so glib that she had to ask such a stupid question? This is on record forever, thanks Sotomayor.

At the same time, right out of left field comes some compelling words from Justice Ginsburg:

"One -- one problem with the prior regulation, if you wanted to have a gun in your second home, you had to buy a second gun. And what public safety or any other reasonable end is served by saying you have to have two guns instead of one and one of those guns has to be maintained in a place that is often unoccupied and, therefore, more vulnerable to theft?"

What can we walk away from the December 2nd oral arguments on the case? What is not being fully reported by the more mainstream outlets is the fact that the full prayer for relief was not answered. This is pivotal in seeing if the court is going to render it moot. From the transcript, NYSRPC’s representative Mr. Clement states:

"That's right, Justice Sotomayor. I don't think we would have been tethered to those in a proposed injunction. But, if we're going to go to the complaint, I think we should look at page 40 --at paragraph 41, at Joint Appendix 36, where we asked for "unrestricted access to gun ranges and second homes."

Unrestricted. I don't think at this late stage we are still being offered unrestricted access.

Between the questions of constitutionality, the City & State’s sudden ‘change of heart,’ and the matter of unrestricted transport, this is where I see this case not being moot. We must not neglect the fact that New York can simply change their law at any time in the future, undoing many years of work. The petitioners want it in writing that what happened was wrong and is wrong.

While the red shirt wearing, Mike Bloomberg funded, Mom’s Demand Action were out there shaking their fists…please press the power button, pull out the cartridge, blow in it, reinsert it, and power back up. We are talking about legally owned firearms being transported. Yes, this has implications that can tumble down the entire gun control scheme, but today, we are talking about transporting a thing in the trunk of a car by a “good guy.” And the same red (the color of communism and fascist regimes) shirt wearing, funded by socialist Mr. Nanny himself, group is screaming from the roof that this case is moot and that is the way the court will see it. I would not be too sure about declaring victory too soon.

For my freedom loving patriots that are in the dumps on this, I would not be too quick to concede to this line of thinking. This case may begin the end of Draconian regimes in jurisdictions like NYC. If not, guess what red shirts and patriots alike, there are several more cases sitting at the Supreme Court in waiting, and they go straight to the jugular on anti-freedom gun control schemes.

The most hope on that this case may render a good, true, and proper opinion can be derived from Justice Alito’s questioning NYC and more so, the answer. Alito puts the pins to Dearing on the City’s position on the Second Amendment:

…it follows that the Second Amendment, under at least some circumstances, protects the possession of a handgun outside the home. Isn't that correct?

What Dearing has to say about the City’s position in his concession sums up this entire case:

"I think -- I think that's a fair way to look at it, that -- that -- that -- but -- but, from our perspective…

This is why the parents need to step in, not the older siblings.
