OPEN-UP NJ RALLY GETS WIDE NEWS COVERAGE!
PARKS & GOLFING TO OPEN MAY 2ND BY E.O.!

by Black Wire Media Wed. April 29, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

WE DID IT! We did it for all of us! Thanks to the press coverage from numerous media outlets including several broadcast TV crews on scene yesterday at the Open-Up NJ Rally in front of the State House & later the War Memorial where NJ Gov. Murphy holds his daily press conferences, a plan was announced just today to reopen state & county parks and golf courses effective sun-up May 2nd! How do we claim this as a victory for a small group of LOUD & OBNOXIOUS rebels instead of a mere coincidence? Because the Governor doubled-down yesterday WHILE WE WERE ALL CHANTING and today we have a PLAN! Just like THAT, as if an idea popped into Richard Cranium's head, THAT'S HOW!

With dozens of deployed NJ State Police carefully observing the situation, and after one protestor who wasn't wearing a mask was challenged by a member of the State Police after being told to wear one, and him not being arrested, the entirety of the protest rally was demonstrated determination and pluck! Hundreds joined on foot, many with public address bullhorns and so many vehicles paraded along W. State Street past the cheering crowd that roadblocks were deployed as far away as the Rt. 29 exit ramp!

Black Wire Media later learned that a single summons was issued! Stephanie Hazelton, of Medford, was charged with violating Executive Order No. 104, which in part bans large gatherings. She was identified as the organizer of the Protest & Rally. No other protesters were charged and Hazleton was released after being given the summons.

Lots of 2A notables in the crowd. Follow-up story w/ photo dump coming soon! Thanks to everyone for making this happen!

*BREAKING* SCOTUS FINDS NEW YORK CITY CASE MOOT, REMANDS FOR FURTHER PROCEEDINGS.

Today, the Supreme Court released its decision in the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association case against New York City, finding that the case is moot, but that possible further actions could proceed on remand back to the lower court.

If you recall, this case involved a New York City rule regarding the transport of firearms. It prevented the transport of firearms to a second home or shooting range outside of the city. The City later changed the law.

The Court’s newest Justice, Kavanagh, agreed that the case is moot, BUT he also stated:

“I also agree with JUSTICE ALITO’s general analysis of Heller and McDonald. Post, at 25; see District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U. S. 570 (2008); McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U. S. 742 (2010); Heller v. District of Columbia, 670 F. 3d 1244 (CADC 2011) (Kavanaugh, J., dissenting). And I share JUSTICE ALITO’s concern that some federal and state courts may not be properly applying Heller and McDonald. The Court should address that issue soon, perhaps in one of the several Second Amendment cases with petitions for certiorari now pending before the Court.”

“There was no substantive decision about the Second Amendment today. Do not listen to any anti-rights groups who might claim it to be a victory, it was merely a procedural decision. In fact, it primes us for hearing an even better case, like the Mark Cheeseman carry case.” —Theresa Inacker, CNJFO Trustee and Communications Director.

Further analysis will be forwarded as it becomes available.

CNJFO ESCAPES NJ LOCKDOWN TO PUMP LEAD!
WE VISITED A CLASS 3 RANGE IN FREE AMERICA!

by Black Wire Media Sun. April 26, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Escaping the New Jersey "Lockdown" yesterday to see how "Free America" lives gave CNJFO Committee Member Nick Wong and Vice President Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal a chance to breathe clean Pennsylvania air deep into their lungs---with some burnt gun powder & upscale hand made cigar smoke mixed-in! The patriotic duo visited a secret (private range) location in free America to practice their shooting skills & "knock the Rust off" after months of forced hibernation!

Wong used his Beretta M9A3 and Colt Peacekeeper .357 Mag. Rosenthal used his Evolution Gun Works (accurized) Springfield 1911 w/ Wilson Combat 10 round .45 ACP mags bought 'round the turn of the last century. Bangin' & Clangin' AR-500 steel at various distances out to 85 yards with sidearms was totally cool! Rosenthal challenged himself with both strong-hand only & weak-hand only drills, while Wong chose to engage some "plate racks"---a 5 plates-in-a-row competition set-up. Wong also engaged multiple targets freestyle, with some rapid fire thrown-in for good measure. The .357 made the loudest CLANG!

As if that wasn't enough fun, a former Jersey resident & competition shooter---now living in Free America, showed up with his 9mm S&W M76 Submachine Gun w/ wire stock & 36 rd mag. Wong & Rosenthal took a few rides on that Baby, firing 650 rpm from an open bolt without a single hiccup. All Class 3 arms & non-NJ compliant acc's remain in Free America. NO laws were broken.

Mental health is as important as physical health, and the short visit to Pennsy was just what the doctor ordered. No steel was harmed in the making of this video, and social distancing was maintained by all in attendance 'cept for a 30 sec. selfie. We hope all our members & readers get a chance to get out and enjoy some range time soon! To JOIN the Coalition, go to:

COVID A CATALYST FOR NJ 1ST TIME GUN BUYER!
NEWBIE THANKS 2A MOVEMENT, PLANS TO JOIN!

by Black Wire Media Fri. April 24, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Leo of West Milford, NJ is a husband and father who takes responsibility for defending his family seriously. One of thousands of brand new New Jersey gun owners worried about released prisoners and an uncertain future, his story mirrors that of many others. He is a fine example of the reason we fight, we write, we protest, and we sue if need be.

We congratulate him on his decision to avail his family of the Constitutional right our members, sponsors, 2A compatriots and supporters helped make possible. Leo's story comes to us through a Facebook group page that 2A Patriot, CNJFO member & SCOTUS Petitioner Mark Cheeseman runs. It is in this spirit we now bring you his story, in his own words...

"I applied for my FID and permit March 24, with the guidance and help from this group page. I thought I was too late and it would never happen. Gun stores were closed, NICS, and the fingerprint processing. But thanks to those who joined the fight to stand up for the 2a, I saw small victories happen one by one - gun stores where added to the essential business, the background checks reopened processing as well as fingerprint processing. This allowed me, a first time gun buyer to get my FID and permits on April18, and bring this baby home, to be able to protect my wife and two little girls".

"I know that fight still continues and there are mountains to be moved, but I just wanted to sincerely thank everyone who helped me and everyone who is actively involved in defending the 2A. Hope this is a bit of an encouragement to many."

As if the above isn't newsworthy enough, when contacted this morning to detail the story, Leo had the following to add:

"I plan on joining the NRA. I’m in West Milford, NJ. Just wanted to add that my wife and I always had in the back of our minds to get a gun for self defense but this pandemic was sort of the catalyst to go forward. We were very frustrated and concerned at first when there were so many roadblocks to exercise our Second Amendment rights and felt the state wasn’t allowing me to be able to equip myself to be able to protect my family".

"It was such a disconcerting feeling that for a moment it didn’t feel like this was America. It made me appreciate even more all the hard work 2nd Amendment activists groups and everyone that supports them as that work paved the way for me to be able to exercise my 2nd Amendment rights during this pandemic. If the state would’ve had their way I would have been waiting months possibly."

    EDITOR's NOTE:

We were waiting for such a true-life tale to hit social media, for we knew it would eventually happen. We welcome Leo into our community with open arms and will assist in his training. We also look forward to his Momma Bear getting some training herself on their CZ P10-C. We hereby encourage our readers to welcome Leo and ALL 1st-timers into the fold of 2A patriotism. Special thanks to Mark Cheeseman and his fellow Mods for running a great resource and providing the encouragement Leo and his wife so made use of. COVID-19 LESSON IN BLOOD DANCING & POWER GRAB!
PUBLIC ARRESTED BY COPS "JUST FOLLOWING ORDERS"!

by Black Wire Media Thur. April 23, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

CNJFO Communications Director Theresa Inacker knows unconstitutional government overreach when she sees it. As an attorney admitted to practice before the US Supreme Court she ought to. Examples in NJ are everywhere you look, such as halting a drive-thru tulip farm offering curbside plant pickups, closing gun shops and shutting down firearms permit fingerprinting until the Feds weigh-in or lawsuits get filed! NJ is ripe with overreach on a massive scale, and protestors are speaking out! Many are first-time gun owners that had their Constitutional rights delayed, outright denied or otherwise curtailed all because "it's for your safety". Historians drawing analogies are seeing Nazi train cars circa 1940 and sounding the warning bell. Are we awake enough to hear it?

"Gun-grabbing governors around the country are dancing in the blood of those who have died from COVID-19. Even as facts arise showing that keeping the economy shut down isn’t the best course of action everywhere, Governors in states like New Jersey, New York and Virginia are using it as an opportunity to double down on their restrictive policies with reckless disregard for the economic fallout". ---Theresa Inacker

How many rights are the American people willing to give-up, if even on a temporary basis? Which Amendments are next? Do YOU even know how many are being trifled with? It's not just about guns, it's about FREEDOM itself. Her piece in TTAG questions rights restrictions and paints a sad picture of certain leaders using virus deaths to squander rights and take more power from the populace.

Please read & share to your pages, and be sure to get involved. Or you might be the next mom or dad arrested in front of your kid because you took them to a park!

EBAY AUCTION A UNIQUE FUNDRAISER FOR CNJFO!
BID NOW ON SIGNED COPY OF "DECISION POINTS"!

by Black Wire Media Wed. April 22, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

CNJFO member John Nacinovich is a bookworm with a huge heart. He's come up with a unique way to donate funds to the Coalition without going "out-of-pocket" during these uncertain times. He's running a Book Auction on Ebay with all of the proceeds being donated to CNJFO. The auction runs for 7 more days, so start bidding! To view the auction and bid visit: https://www.ebay.com/itm/114192769049 . This second offering is an autographed copy of President George W. Bush's, "Decision Points".

Nacinovich, a logistics expert for a construction company specializing in commercial building concrete footing, has two boys in college and wanted to come up with a way to donate much needed funds to charities, and CNJFO specifically. He donated the proceeds of his first auction-fundraiser February 29th. The buyer pays Nacinovich and he uses his credit card to forward all proceeds to us.

A member of New Jersey Gun Forums, his first book auction was held strictly on that gun board. We're nationally advertising this second one to our entire readership in hopes that knowing the proceeds will benefit our 2nd Amendment mission, folks will bid it up more aggressively. Courtesy S&H is available to NJ Gun Forums members. Here's the link to the current NJ Gun Forums thread: https://www.njgunforums.com/forum/index.php…

"I took the books from the garage so it's money I never really had that I can donate. What do others have sitting around that they no longer need? Maybe they can do a similar auction?" ---John Nacinovich

The Brooklyn Dodger fan owns JAJ online bookstore, having amassed a vast collection he started buying & selling in 1998 as a hobby. Now in garage storage and strictly a "side-gig", 90% of his autographed collection he stood in line for himself so he guarantees all signatures are legit! He has a 100% percent sales rating.

Brooklyn native Nacinovich, 57, has always had an interest in firearms but with disapproving parents, running businesses, starting a family, etc., he started owning firearms 15 years ago. A Beretta 92 hand gun fan, he is a member at Reloaderz NJ on Rt. 23 in Wayne, NJ, ( where he signed-up as a CNJFO member during a special event held at the range). Nacinovich also shoots skeet and trap.

    EDITOR's NOTE:
We applaud John Nacinovich's unique approach to supplementing our benefactors' monthly giving, and encourage others with too much "stuff" on their hands to do the same.

    NRA-ILA's RAGOSTA GIVEN NAT'L ASSIGNMENT!
NEW MGR. POLITICAL & LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES!

by Black Wire Media Tues April 21, 2020 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

The Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners is proud to announce our friend & ally Christian Ragosta has been promoted to Manager, Political & Legislative Activities at NRA's Institute for Legislative Action. NRA-ILA was founded in 1975 and is the official lobbying arm of the National Rifle Association, America's oldest civil rights organization. The promotion of April 7th comes as no surprise to us here at CNJFO due to having witnessed Ragosta in action since our inception many years ago.

Back in CNJFO's formative stages he saw great promise & integrity in "the new kid on the block", and attended as many events as his busy schedule would allow. He was our local Field Representative covering NJ, NY, PA, and CT. A challenging task to say the least given the tremendous amount of real estate, and yet he ALWAYS came through for us!

Fulfilling our needs for NRA swag for goody bags and raffles, attending fundraisers and speaking to NRA-ILA's role, introducing CNJFO committee members to NRA-ILA's Chris Cox and several NRA top executives, and recommending yours truly for the 2017 Jay M. Littlefield Volunteer of the Year Award presented at the September 2018 Board meeting. All because Christian saw something special in CNJFO and nurtured it. And that just scratches the surface.

Providing CNJFO a partnership that has withstood the test of time is a benchmark of Ragosta's professionalism and eagerness to fulfill his role. We take much pleasure in seeing this promotion and congratulate him as we look into the future in these uncertain times. God Speed!

COVID-19 "JUST COMPLY" PLEAS DIVIDE GUN OWNERS!
EMOTIONAL TRAUMA WILL TAKE YEARS TO RESOLVE!

Op-Ed by CNJFO Life Member Mark Levy Sun. 4-19-20 www.cnjfo.com

I’ve never been more disappointed (but sadly not surprised) in folks from the supposedly “shall not infringe” crowd who’ve aligned with the “just comply”, and “people are dying” ghouls that have been blaming my wife & I for “dead children” since 2012.

What we’re seeing/reading now is the functional equivalent of the MuhChilluns argument.

Between the FUDDS, the BUTters, & the WhyYouNeeders™ there’s now a new category of “Virusers™” within the firearms community who are willing to trade/concede/otherwise “compromise” my rights without a second thought because someone’s convinced them we’re all gonna die.

I’d rather all those people just turn in their guns and go to “the other side”—so I at least I know whom to trust.

And yes, I’m one of those “2A Absolutist” in case anyone is confused.

Literally ALL gun laws are infringements.

Anyone who cannot be trusted with a firearm cannot be trusted without a custodian. Period.

The truly disturbing thing about this—of which I’ve been pointing out for at least the last 2 weeks: Not a single politician or media “expert” who’s finger wagging at us while also exploding their TDS—has acknowledged just how mentally & emotionally DAMAGING the whole “lockdown” is. Humans, much like canines, are “pack animals”. Even I, who anxiously awaits our escape to America for 50 acres with a moat—still MUST have positive interactions with other human beings.

While I will admit that we’re thankfully blessed with enough tech (sadly my 77YO Dad hasn’t joined the smartphone team—even my Mom has an iPad) that enable us to FaceTime or Skype with our friends/family so we can see as well as hear them...it’s not the same. Humans crave physical interaction of an occasionally intimate nature—and that means the closeness of simply hugging those who are important to us.

Breaking these sorts of relationships by demanding the new made up “social distancing” will have devastating effects of people’s mental and emotional well being that will last far longer than this viral crisis. The magnitude of the trauma, combined with the financial ruin shuttering entire business sectors will be so extensive...the mental healthcare support systems will become overwhelmed with depression patients like we’ve never seen before—and the suicide rates will be staggering.

The longer that we allow ourselves to be sequestered from other human beings—the tougher it will be to come back from and be the productive society we know America to be.

I can guarantee that people like Murphy & Grewal are well aware of the damage they’re causing—but the simple truth is they DON’T CARE—so long as it’s an opportunity to claim “leadership”, all while denigrating POTUS’ for his response. I truly fear what the fracture of the Nation looks like when we come out the other side of this...

    EDITOR's NOTE:

Mark Levy is our newest Life Member, but he's been around quite a while on the "2A Scene" and is a member of several organizations. A avid hunter, target & clay bird shooter, Levy owns & uses all 3 popular platforms. He & his wife enjoy the shooting sports together at their local club. What they don't like is being discriminated against or forced to do things by government OVERREACH! We hope you enjoy his poignant, story-telling writing style and ability to make his readers think.

    ROSEY'S RAMBLINGS! THIS LOCKDOWN SUCKS!

by Dave "Rosey" Rosenthal, CNJFO Vice President &
Black Wire Media Editor in-Chief www.cnjfo.com/join-us

I want to PEW! I don't know about our readers, but in my 48 years behind the trigger, this Covid-19 pandemic is the longest hiatus I've ever had to endure not going PEW! Root canal, birth of my son, even a heart attack took me away from the shooting sports for far less time than Governor Murphy's Executive Order "suggestions". Yes "suggestions" because our legislators never proposed a Bill for our state's chief executive to sign into law!

Governor I can social distance at an outdoor range, and utilize all 3 firearm platforms---rifle, pistol, and scattergun---in both modern (smokeless) OR traditional black powder, and accomplish this feat without getting close enough to others to pick-up from or transmit the virus to my fellow firearms enthusiasts. I can do the same at an indoor range 'cept for using black powder (too much smoke for the air filtration systems). Guess what, THEY CAN DO THE SAME!

I'm a responsible adult, and I grow tired of your continued UNCONSTITUTIONAL overreach and your complete disregard for the Bill of Rights! If it were up to me I would place you under arrest pending impeachment for failure to uphold your oath of office!

I grow tired of your smug attitude with regard to messing with MY Second Amendment. I don't care about your "feelings" when they interfere with upholding the Constitution of these United States!

Turning off the NICS portal so residents that were already background checked & issued ID cards & hand gun permits can't complete transfers! Telling IdentiGo, NJ's official fingerprint vendor, to stay open but to stop fingerprinting firearm permit applicants! And Wednesday night we all found out that the very authority you claim to hold via Executive Orders is in your own words, "ABOVE MY PAYGRADE".

If this pandemic turns out to be a lab-manufactured bio weapon (OR not), and if I am to succumb to it, then at least let me die happy, in a pile of brass up to my ass! OPEN THE RANGES NOW!

    ---30---

    EDITOR's NOTE:

Rosenthal has extensive range experience with all platforms, is a NRA Double Distinguished Expert, and recipient of NRA-ILA's 2017 Jay M. Littlefield "Volunteer of the Year" Award. As Match Director for Old Bridge Rifle & Pistol Club's Police Pistol Competition, he's trained hundreds of shooters. His first hand gun acquisition in 1977 is what today is known as a "straw purchase". His Dad bought the S&W revolver new and then Rosey bought it from his Dad minutes later AT THE SAME GUN COUNTER!

As Black Wire Media's Editor in-Chief, he strives to teach others the NJ gun law EXCEPTIONS & EXEMPTIONS that allow us mere peasants to own, transport & use our firearms legally. We hope you find his insight both enjoyable & thought-provoking. ---The Editors
