CNJFO FOLKS SPEAK AT 2A SANCTUARY ADOPTION!  TABERNACLE 1ST BURLINGTON CO. 2A RESOLUTION!

by Black Wire Media Tues. Feb. 25, 2020 http://www.cnjfo.com/join-us

History was made last night as over 80 people jammed into the Tabernacle, NJ council chambers to hear the unanimous vote passing a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Resolution, the first of its kind in Burlington County! Several Coalition members, instructors, and supporters joined Tabernacle resident and CNJFO Communications Director Theresa Inacker and her daughter Mary. Proving their love of freedom by staunchly supporting the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary Resolution later passed at last night's town council meeting in Tabernacle, NJ., several CNJFO folks, gun owners all, spoke from the heart as they addressed the council and the capacity crowd.

In addition to our Communications Director, Doug, Lorie and Seneca HS Junior and USPSA Grand Master & static steel champion Emily Cutts made impassioned remarks, with Emily, a CNJFO volunteer instructor at our first Youth Day at the Range, appearing in her TandemKross shooting competition jersey. 16 year old Emily presented a copy of her remarks to each council member, including the 2A Sanctuary Resolution sponsor, councilwoman Nancy McGinnis.

Two Purple Heart Veterans spoke on our behalf including CNJFO member & Vietnam Vet Cliff Toye, and countless others, including myself. One pro-2A woman told a very moving story of how a man tried to drag her out of her car at a stop sign in Philly. He also tried to get in the car with her when she wouldn’t get out. She was able to drive away (partially running him over) and she vowed never to be a victim again. She was able to get gun carry rights in Philly, but cannot exercise that right here in NJ!

The resolution passed unanimously and each council member mentioned the oath taken to uphold the Constitution. One council member also said it should send a message to Trenton (our state legislators---Ed.) that they’ve gone too far. Yes, indeed, they have. I’m so grateful to the folks who came from other towns to support us! Thank you!

There were 3 women who spoke against the resolution-all based in fear. They talked about being scared. It’s a theme that repeats itself over and over again. That is the root of our opposition-irrational fear. They also seemed to say the majority of people in the country want to take guns away-so they thought that was a good enough reason. This is not only patently false, but also shows a complete lack of understanding of individual rights, and the difference between a Republic and a Democracy. ----Theresa Inacker, CNJFO Communications Director

EDITOR's NOTE:

Theresa Inacker calls herself, "Security Mom", and with good reason. A single mother, gun owner, clay bird shooter & pheasant hunter, Inacker will be harvesting pheasants with us this Saturday at our sold-out fundraiser and speaking about her role as the NJ Ambassador for The D.C. Project, a group of 50 women, one from each state, that pounds on the doors of Congress people & US Senators every summer. CNJFO member & fellow Black Wire Media staffer Lee Ollivier supplied the images for this story with his hand still bandaged from a recent surgery---that's dedication!
